Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your full name and email address provided by your authentication provider (e.g., Google). This is used to identify you and manage your account.

User Content

This includes the poems you generate, the audio/video recordings you create, comments you post, and likes you give. You control the privacy settings for your recordings (Public, Anonymous, Private, or Supporters-Only).

Profile Information

You may voluntarily add a profile picture, a bio, and social media links. You control the privacy settings for this information.

Payment Information

When you make a payment (donations, gifts, premium subscriptions, or fan subscriptions), your payment is processed by our payment provider (Base44 Payments, powered by Wix). We do not store your full card details — these are handled entirely by the payment provider. We retain a record of the transaction (amount, date, status) and your email for receipt purposes.

Usage Data

We collect information on how the service is accessed and used (e.g., feature usage, content creation counts, app opens). This data is used to improve the service and is anonymized where possible.

Device and Technical Data

We may collect device identifiers, operating system version, browser type, and IP address for security, analytics, and service operation purposes.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve our service.
• To manage your account and provide you with user support.
• To allow you to participate in interactive features of our service.

Data Retention

Transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and accounting compliance.

Your privacy and control are paramount. We do not sell your personal data.

• Community Sharing: If you choose to share a recording publicly or anonymously, it will be visible to other members of the VoiceLight community. If you share publicly, the display name you provide will be visible.
• Service Providers: We employ third-party companies to facilitate our service, including hosting providers, AI model providers, and payment processors. These third parties have access to your personal information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

VoiceLight integrates with the following third-party services that may collect data as governed by their own privacy policies:

• Authentication: Google Sign-In (for account creation and login).
• Payment Processing: Base44 Payments (powered by Wix) for all transactions.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. By using VoiceLight, you consent to such transfers. We take steps to ensure your data is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Your Control & Rights

You have full control over your content and personal data. You can:

• Set sharing preferences for each recording (Public, Anonymous, Private, or Supporters-Only).
• Delete your recordings and poems through your profile at any time.
• Update your profile information at any time.

• Opt out of marketing communications at any time.

Children's Privacy

VoiceLight is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will take steps to remove the account and associated data in accordance with applicable laws including COPPA, GDPR-K, and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code.
