Child Safety & CSAE Policy

VoiceLight is committed to maintaining a safe, supportive environment for all users. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and take proactive measures to prevent, detect, and respond to any such content or behavior on our platform.

Zero Tolerance Policy

VoiceLight strictly prohibits any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors. This includes but is not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming behavior, sexualized content involving minors, and any content that facilitates the exploitation of children. Such content is removed immediately upon detection, and violators are permanently banned and reported to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement.

Age Requirements

VoiceLight is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will take steps to remove the account and associated content in accordance with applicable laws including COPPA, GDPR-K, and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code.

Reporting & Enforcement

VoiceLight allows users to report child safety concerns in-app. To learn more about reporting requirements, visit the Google Play Help Centre. Users can also report directly through in-app reporting tools or by emailing hello@voicelight.co.uk. All reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Confirmed violations result in immediate content removal, account termination, and reporting to relevant authorities. We maintain records of all CSAE-related reports and actions taken.

Content Moderation

VoiceLight employs a combination of automated detection tools and human review to identify and remove prohibited content. All uploaded media (audio, video, images) is scanned for known CSAE signatures using hash-matching technology. User-generated text is monitored for grooming indicators and predatory behavior patterns.

Support for Survivors

VoiceLight is a healing-focused platform. We recognize that some users may be survivors of abuse. We provide resources and links to professional support organizations within the app, and we handle all disclosures of abuse with sensitivity, confidentiality, and appropriate urgency in reporting to authorities.

Legal Compliance

VoiceLight complies with all applicable laws and regulations regarding child safety, including but not limited to: the UK Online Safety Act, the US SESTA-FOSTA Act, GDPR, COPPA, and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations related to CSAE.
